Standard terms and conditions governing access, account security, and usage of the RenewGuard platform.

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using RenewGuard ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Informational Purpose & Financial Disclaimer

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING FINANCIAL TRACKING:

RenewGuard is strictly a personal subscription tracking, organizational, and notification utility. RenewGuard is NOT a bank, credit institution, investment advisor, or payment gateway. We do not directly execute banking transactions or cancel third-party subscriptions on your behalf.

All renewal dates, cost totals, and AI recommendations are provided for informational convenience only. You are solely responsible for reviewing official billing invoices from your service providers.

3. Account Security & Responsibilities

When you register for an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the strict confidentiality of your authentication credentials and recovery codes.
  • Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (TOTP 2FA) to safeguard access to sensitive subscription data.
  • All activities that occur under your account session.
  • Notifying us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access or credential compromise.

4. Prohibited & Acceptable Use

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

Security ViolationsAttempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our Supabase infrastructure or bypass Turnstile captcha verification.
Automated ScrapingDeploying aggressive bots, crawlers, or unauthorized automated scripts against internal API endpoints.
Abuse of ServiceTransmitting malicious code, spamming reminder triggers, or attempting cross-tenant RLS bypasses.
Unlawful PurposeUsing RenewGuard to store fraudulent payment aliases or engage in financial misconduct.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable EU law, RenewGuard, its developers, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, unexpected subscription auto-renewals from third-party services, data corruption, or downtime resulting from internet outages or third-party service provider failures.

6. Account Termination, Inquiries & Governing Law

You may terminate your account at any time using the self-service account deletion tool in Account Settings. For support or legal notices, contact us at [email protected] or [email protected]. We reserve the right to suspend accounts violating these Terms. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hellenic Republic and the European Union.
